My 11 year old has far surpassed my limited musical talents now
By Andrew Pollack on 11/11/2004 at 10:01 PM ESTI was listening to Ari play the recorder today, and had to ask her why she was working so hard on a tune for that when she's taking sax lessons now. The recorder was last year -- a part of fourth grade, but something she really took off with and earned all the little colored threads of different levels. She answered that she tries stuff out on the recorder because she's comfortable with it, then when she understands it she goes over and works on figuring out how to do it on the sax.
Now I've heard that this is something musicians do all the time. It is totally beyond me. The different instruments are, in my mind, completely unrelated. It is clear then, that she's achieved an inherent understanding of music that I never have. More power to her.

This is not quite a scam because it's technically legal, but it's run very much like a scam. This company works with a few "clients" that have vast repositories of copyrighted images.
