I like snow, but enough is enough - its only December! We're set up for another 6-10 inches of fresh snow tonight. That will make something like 25-30 inches in the last two weeks. Our winter doesn't usually get started this way. December in Maine is not normally a heavy snow month. Its a few cold days and some warm ones, with January getting really cold and February being our big snow month. No so this year!
I'm off to get my stuff together, we're staffing the station again tonight -- the third time this week.
to Texas, I think I'll drive down tonight now. I still have about a foot and a
half from all the other snows. I think I read somewhere that we've already had
more snow this December than the whole snow season last/this year.
By the way, thanks for posting that entry about the chains, I often saw them
hanging below heating oil trucks and had assumed they were static discharge or
something, very cool, snow chains.
