So now Bill gives Scott some two billion bucks, and Scott's all smiles again. What does it mean? Windows gets the JVM, sure. What else? Will we see visual studio sprout new direct integration to the Java run time? Can you imagine a class library add in that links the CLR with the JVM?
Anyone have a guess as to where that leave's a company like IBM who's been putting so many eggs into the Java basket (which it doesn't own or control)?
We live in interesting times.
