I wasted about six hours today trying to figure out why despite everything appearing to work correctly, I could not make my phone client software make any noise. It would call out to the pbx, the pbx would play the congratulations demo messages, but no sound came out the speakers. I swear I checked this a hundred times, but at some point during the process I must have bumped it. Yes, the headphone switch. Sometime in the last several hours I fixed the problem -- but kept right on troubleshooting blindly, and with no hope of success that I could tell.
It wasn't until nearly midnight tonight when I'd given up for the day, sat down with a bowl of good ice cream and turned the TV on when Gab wanted to chat on Skype that I noticed the switch set to headphones. 15 seconds later I was listening to the voice over my pbx through my software client.
So, when do I get my 6 hours back?
