NCT Search 3.0 goes Beta 1! Come give me feedback
By Andrew Pollack on 02/26/2004 at 02:27 PM ESTAt long last and with great relief, NCT Search 3.0 is in Beta 1 -- the First Look version. Obviously I haven't crafted a terribly complex search form onto it yet, but give it a try and tell me what you think thus far.
Note: The servlet responds with an xml document that references an xsl document. In theory, the browser renders the xml with the xslt. The idea is that you as the site owner specify the xsl document reference, so the results can be VERY easily changed. I've seen, and had a report or two, of that not happening well all the time. In my case a restart of IE took care of it. Sad, guess I'll need to do the rendering in teh servlet first, then send back the html.
