If you're reading this, of course, the incident is over with - I'm writing it on my local server and it will replicate when it can. My public facing servers are at The Planet. They've been an excellent provider, and I've been happy. Right now though, the servers are down. According to the reports at The Planet, they had a fire in a transformer. Word is, none of the networking gear or servers were damaged, but the fire marshal in Houston made them shut down the generator standby systems. Now I'm waiting, and I'm watching the update page at The Planet to see when we'll have powered up machines again. I'd assume they'll need to have that equipment come up in phases -- the draw at restart for all those machines will be enormous.
