Firefox add-in extension that I'd really like to see
By Andrew Pollack on 07/12/2005 at 05:22 PM EDTI want a "search" bar for firefox that calls google search, but automatically appends api commands to exclude a list of sites (particularly nextag, epinions, dealtime, pricegrabber, and that ilk that fills up the damn screen when you're searching for a review or a reference).
I may write a desktop tool that does that. It should be easy enough.

It took some effort to find information about the structure of that file and
how to append terms to it. The easiest way turns out to be simply to add
multiple q= parameters, as google seems to accept those just fine.
Now, I wonder about a community base effort to keep a good scrub list up....
