What a relief! This year's C.U.L.T. shirt has been quite a...treat....to work on. For the first time ever, we have 16 sponsors -- not counting Rocky & I. That means sixteen separate company logos which have be just right even though we are trying to keep the number of colors used down to four or five on a side. It means entirely re-drawing from scratch the logos for three sponsors, who only had raster graphic images of their own logos. It means playing referee with who gets their logo in what order and on what part of the shirt. That doesn't even begin to cover the discussions around what content the shirt should have this year.
I can tell you this -- if you're at Lotusphere this year and don't get one of these, you're not looking hard enough. There will be 40% more shirts this year than ever before, for a total of 2100 shirts in production.
Remember to wear yours on Wednesday night at the party. In year's past, lucky winners have received cash prizes on the spot -- and last year one person was handed a brand new 20gb Creative Zen MP3 player. I'm not saying what the prize or prizes will be this year -- it depends on how much money we have after we pay for the production and shipping -- but I'll bet it will be worth wearing the shirt for.
