We got a new officer on Engine 1 today. A great guy, I'm looking forward to working with him more. I know you all care. Meantime, today was mostly boring from the perspective of you, reading about me. Soccer practice went well. These girls are playing some good ball and starting to think about the game while they play. We're still a few years away from challenging the Brazilians though.
Today's hot news:
* The RIAA got a big $2,000 out of a 12 year old girl today in their first settlement. I hope its worth it for them. I can't imagine worse P.R. unless we later find out that she's a homeless minority physically challenged kid with a lisp and a great T.V. presence.
* NASA launched a top secret satellite last night. They did it at night so nobody could see. (image here) Subtle, hunh? All we know about it is that its big, and that its making John Ashcroft terribly happy. That can't be good for the rest of the w...<gack>x;las<struggle>kdfa;<cough>sf. I am certain that Mr. John Ashcroft is doing all the right things for our country. That is all for today. I am sure that there will be more for us great Americans to talk about another day.
