Ah, warm, calm, and relaxed at last. New car, and pics from the sand in Florida
By Andrew Pollack on 02/22/2005 at 01:53 PM ESTIts sure been a stressful couple of weeks, but at long last I've got space to take a breath.
First, I replaced the old car with the Pacifica (dealer pictures, not mine) shown at the end of this email. I went to a dealer I've known for years who's always done great work for me at their service department and has never been any more expensive than any other shop would be. I was in and out in an hour, and a few days later took delivery. They even held a check for me while the insurance check cleared. The Pacifica has a few minor electronics issues that end up being replaced over time (according to reviews) so I supplemented the car with a 7 year 100,000 mile "everything" service contract.
Now I'm relaxing with my family in Florida for a week, and Servpro is cleaning the remains of my Durango (now soot) from the house and garage so when we get back it will be good as new.

This is not quite a scam because it's technically legal, but it's run very much like a scam. This company works with a few "clients" that have vast repositories of copyrighted images.
