So all clues point to Google Browser soon -- but they're not saying...or are they?
By Andrew Pollack on 09/26/2004 at 07:21 PM EDTWell, the google people are at it again. They're registered a domain, hosted the mozilla dev conference, and done a few other things that at first glance look like the worst kept secret in history.
Remember though, these are the guys who created major market demand for a free service that is ultimately not a whole lot more than a dozen other free services. They're the same guys that got huge media play for weeks leading up to the unconventional but otherwise unspectacular I.P.O.
10 points again to Google for understanding how to create market buzz out of nothing at all.
